About us

The Princess Máxima Center for pediatric oncology in Utrecht, The Netherlands, is a unique center where all high complex care and research for children with cancer in the Netherlands is concentrated. It is our mission to cure every child with cancer, with optimal quality of life. As the largest pediatric oncology center in Europe, we look beyond our national borders and also want to offer children who do not live in the Netherlands the opportunity to be treated in the Máxima Center.

In the Máxima Center all types of childhood cancer are treated, but it concerns a number of specific areas of research and treatment that we offer more broadly, to share this accumulated expertise. These include:

In addition, we plan to open our Phase I/II studies portfolio internationally.

Other pediatric oncological indications also qualify for treatment in our center. Every referral is assessed individually. Furthermore it’s possible to request a second opinion.

Children living in the Caribbean part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands are also eligible for treatment in the Máxima Center.
