Science evening: how do children get cancer?

Event date: 20-04-2021
What is cancer, what goes wrong in the body? Does that work differently in children than in adults? And what can we actually do with that knowledge? For an answer to these and other questions about why children get cancer, join the online Science evening on April 20 (in Dutch).

Cancer means that the cells in your body keep growing uncontrollably. To develop better treatments for childhood cancers, it is important to understand how and why the disease can develop.

On the Science evening, three Princess Máxima Center researchers take you with them on their search for a cause of childhood cancer. There will be plenty of time for questions. The evening will be held entirely in Dutch, and is aimed at parents and a general curious, non-expert audience.
