New treatment strategy for neuroblastoma: ‘increased chance of survival’

Pediatric surgeon and researcher Marc Wijnen and researcher Lianne Wellens have explained their scientific research in the Dutch television program Editie NL.
Wijnen and Wellens investigate a new technique which allows for more precision during the surgical removal of neuroblastoma in children. Neuroblastoma is a rare form of childhood cancer. With this technique, Wijnen and Wellens aim to increase the survival rates for children with neuroblastoma. Stichting Villa Joep has granted €500,000 to fund this study.
