Personalizing treatment of pediatric kidney cancer patients using patient-derived tumor organoids

Camilla started her PhD in the Drost lab in 2017. Her project focusses on using organoids as a drug screening platform for the development of novel therapies. For this purpose, she uses the pediatric kidney tumor organoid biobank, which was established in our lab. Second, she explores the origin of cancer-associated mutational signatures in genetically modified human organoids using CRISPR/Cas9 technology.
