Sleep and fatigue in childhood cancer patients and their families.

I am responsible for the sleep research line. Good sleep is important for good health. It plays a role in physical, emotional and social well-being. Sleep problems are common in children with cancer and their parents, during treatment as well as (years) after. Our research group aims to:

  1. increase our understanding of the predisposing, precipitating and perpetuating factors associated with sleep problems in families facing childhood cancer;
  2. develop effective interventions to prevent or treat sleep problems;
  3. further develop valid and reliable instruments to measure sleep.
