Supportive care

At the Máxima Center we want children with cancer to be able to simply be children. We do everything we can to make sure that the illness and treatment have as little impact as possible on their daily life. The quality of life of both the child and the family should be as good as possible, even during treatment. With broad supportive care we aim to prevent, treat, or reduce physical and psychosocial side effects. We encourage physical activity and healthy eating, we prevent and treat infections, pain, and stress, and we provide distraction.
