Amalia Nabuurs graduated from Utrecht University with a master’s degree in Bioinformatics and Biocomplexity. Following this she started working as a bioinformatician in the Princess Maxima Center in November 2024.
As bioinformatician her primary focus is on the analysis of single-cell RNA sequencing data, to understand and characterize the heterogeneity within the bone marrow of leukemia patients. With the goal to identify which leukemic cells drive interaction and how leukemic cells manipulate the bone marrow environment. Apart from working on single-cell RNA sequencing data she supports other group members with that data analysis and visualization.
