The effect of (micro)structural white matter alterations on the processing speed of paediatric brain tumour survivors - a diffusion kurtosis study.

For my Master’s research project, I am studying the effect of microstructural white matter alterations on the processing speeds of paediatric brain tumour patients.

I will process DTI and DKI data to obtain information about the white matter integrity of the patients. By performing statistical analyses, this data can then be related to the processing speeds that were assessed by means of NPO’s.

This project will contribute to the PhD project of Anne Leenders, that aims to explore the effects of tumour and treatment related risk factors, sleep and white matter connectivity on neurocognitive performance in paediatric brain tumour patients one year after diagnosis.
