Analyzing the osteosarcoma microenvironment

Therapeutic outcome for osteosarcoma has not been improved the last decades. The aim of my PhD project is to identify the factors that are crucial for osteosarcoma progression. Characterizing these factors is needed to develop specific therapies for osteosarcoma. In my research I am mostly focusing on osteosarcoma tumor microenvironment, tumor heterogeneity between patients and heterogeneity between matched primary and metastasized tumors from the same patient.
