Patient-derived organoid models to study rhabdoid tumors

Lars started his PhD in the Drost lab in 2017, where he studies rhabdoid tumors, a very aggressive solid tumor appearing in infants and young children. He makes use of patient-derived 3D tumor organoid cultures to unravel the molecular mechanisms underlying rhabdoid tumor development. Moreover, he exploits genetic lineage tracing strategies to study clonal dynamics in pediatric tumors.
