Identification of potential metabolic targets in neuroblastoma

The aim of this project is finding new targets in metabolic pathways for diagnostic, prognostic, and treatment purposes in neuroblastoma. Cancer cells have other needs compared to healthy cells, resulting in high energy demands with altered metabolic pathways. We want to investigate if these alterations are correlated to the patient outcome and genetic alterations and if we can use the alterations as targets to improve the treatment. The metabolomics, lipidomics, transcriptomics and proteomics will be analyzed in neurblastoma cell lines to determine the correlation between genetic alterations and altered pathways with associated targets.
