Taste and smell function and its association with eating behaviour and quality of life in children with cancer

This internship will be part of larger longitudinal research concerning a study on taste and smell function in children with cancer, in collaboration with the Princess Maxima Center for pediatric oncology in Utrecht. The main questions concern how treatment (i.e., chemotherapy) affects taste and smell in these patients, whether potentially distorted taste and smell function
recovers between cycles of chemotherapy, and to what degree any taste and smell dysfunction has consequences for patients' eating behaviour and quality of life
