Research technician

As a research analyst/technician in Huitema group my work will mostly be put on full display in the drug analysis laboratory. In this laboratory we aim to develop new methods which may be used to monitor the exact concentration of several drugs or other molecules of interest. Using this information a dosage may be altered if the concentration in the child  is too low or high.

  • Analytical chemistry including:
    • SPE, LLE and standard sample pretreatment
    • GC-FID or MS analysis
    • LC-UV,FLU or MS(MS) analysis
  • Basic chemometrics
  • Therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM)
    • Small molecule determinations
