Histology-based diagnosis of pediatric liver tumors can be challenging as these tumors may show intermediate/hybrid features. Molecular profiling of liver tumors may reveal features that are not apparent from tissue histology. With gene expression profiling (by analyzing RNA sequencing data), we hope that pediatric liver tumor subtypes may be more accurately classified.
