Advances in cancer management have resulted in improved survival rates, particularly in children and young adults. However, treatment may adversely affect gonadal function and reproductive outcomes among survivors of childhood cancer. We examine various aspects of gonadal function and reproductive outcomes in survivors as compared to the general population. One large topic of research is part of a European wide endeavor (PanCareLIFE) and focuses on the identification of genetic factors which play a role in the risk of treatment-induced gonadal impairment among female childhood cancer survivors.
