I'm a Master graduate of the Wageningen University of Research, where I pursued my Master's degree in Plant Biotechnology in 2018. My fascination with plants sparked a keen interest in disease diagnostics, initially through RT-PCR and later expanded to expression analysis via qPCR, Nanopore sequencing and RNA-seq.
Within the van Heesch group, my primary focus revolves around Ribosomal profiling, or Ribo-Seq, which enables us to gain valuable insights into global RNA translation. I actively collaborate on various projects, striving to achieve detailed measurements and enhance our understanding in this area.
Additionally, I contribute to cell culture maintenance and carry out expression analysis via qPCR. Continual improvement is a driving force for me, and I'm constantly on the lookout for ways to optimize protocols, enhance lab organization, and incorporate new techniques that streamline our work.
