Epigenetic heterogeneity in rhabdoid tumors
Phone 088 97 27 679

Rhabdoid tumors are very aggressive genetically stable tumors, characterized by the recurrent loss of SMARCB1. These tumors can be subdivided into 5 subgroups located in the brain (AT/RT), kidney (MRTK) or in the soft tissue (MRT). My project will focus on unravelling the epigenetic heterogeneity in malignant rhabdoid tumors using subtype-specific organoid models to study the DNA methylation patterns observed per subtype.
