The MICADO study contributes to the research field of sleep and quality of life in adolescents and young adults after cancer. We investigate the effectivity of the online treatment ‘i-Sleep’ in adolescents and young adults after cancer (13-24y) that suffer from insomnia. Insomnia is common in this target group and improvement in sleep contributes to quality of life and school/work performance. Therefore, it is important to treat insomnia. Furthermore, we investigate a new sleep questionnaire to efficiently screen for insomnia in adolescents and young adults after cancer (e.g. PROMIS item banks). By researching the screening and treatment of insomnia, we hope to contribute to a better quality of life in adolescents and young adults after cancer.
